When are the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: everything you need to know

The most important sporting event of the year is the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will take place between July 26 and August 11 in a French capital that is preparing for the occasion and in which there will be an unprecedented opening ceremony in the Seine River with the presence of around 600,000 spectators.

In 19 days of competition in 32 sports, 329 events will take place in 762 sessions. Most of the disciplines will be based in Paris and its metropolitan area, but others will compete several kilometers from the epicenter. Football, as usual, will be spread across several stadiums while sailing will take place in the Marseille Marina.

Tickets went on sale in December with different prices for each event. For the opening and closing ceremonies the costs range between 24 and 950 euros. The same minimum and ceiling is estimated for sports. More than a million tickets are sold at 24 euros while 50% of the total tickets cost less than 50 euros. For medal events, one third of the total income is rented at 100 euros or less.
